Floor tiling finished

We got a sneek peek at our bathrooms when we turned up on Friday lunchtime as the tilers were going home. They let us in and told us they had finished the floor grouting. They matched the grouting to the tiles and it looks really good.

Tiling & bricking started this week

We are at lockup stage and can't get into the house so its all peeking through windows now. Our tilers have been very busy since Monday and as far as we can see they have nearly finished all the floors except the laundry. They also started on the bathrooms today which has a different tile. The obscure glass means that my bathrooms will remain a bit of mystery unless I gatecrash my site while the tradies are there. None of the tiles have been grouted yet so the floor will look even whiter soon. Time to learn to keep my floors clean eek!

We were excited to see movement around the outside of the house at lunchtime today. Rain, rain & more rain has kept our brickies behind schedule so it was quite exciting to rock on up to the house to see...

this. Yeah! Excuse the mess, we have since we are just happy to see the job being done :)

View of the back of the house. We are very pleased with the brickwork so far. They have used white mortar so the exterior will look lighter than this once the mortar dries. Stay tuned... 

Plastering is finished, next bricking and tiling...

The plasterer finally finished this week & it looks great. Our site supervisor advised us that the brickies and tilers will both be hitting our house simultaneously this coming week so stay tuned for pics of some more dramatic changes. Hopefully the weather holds out for them both.
