My kitchen splashback is innnnnnnnnnnnnnn..........

All my family & friends can now breathe a sigh of relief. I will finally stop harping on about my kitchen now the splashback is finally in and looks gorgeous. Totally perfect & I'm thrilled with the result.

And for those wondering if the colour looks familiar its because its the paint colour of my grandad's Toyota Yaris!

I'm pretty excited about using my kitchen, not that I'm that good of a cook but looking at this I'm rather inspired.

Its been a huge week of fun transformations when the plumbers got busy. Our bathrooms took shape & I am VERY happy with the fittings we choose. It all looks very pretty!

Someone got around to installing the rangehood and I have to say I LOVE IT!

So now its down to the plumbers, electrician with the lights (currently having hassles with the lightning place), carpet and the cabinet makers will come back to install the splashback & make final adjustements once the gas has been fitted etc. The garage door goes on by the 30th April & we will be moving all our stuff over that weekend. We will stay at Hotel Lio till handover which hopefully will be no later than mid May. The countdown has begun but I'm still not quite excited yet. In fact given I have to move in two weeks I'd better start packing ASAP.

Kitchen benchtop is in

Passed by the house today and was excited to see our caesarstone benchtop & Oliveri undermount sink had been installed. Now its just a nervous wait for my splashback & then my kitchen is complete (minus appliances which get installed last).

The painter is coming after Easter. I choose Antique White USA for the wall colour. Its a white but definitely seems to pick up colours around it so it will be interesting to see the finished product. Down the track we're planning some feature walls so it will be a nice clean palette to work with.

The carpenters weren't the only ones who visited however

the splashback tiles are up in the laundry and

the plaster put up some more cornice around the kitchen cupboards.
